Notes

To microwave instead: If you’d rather go for the quick version (like in my basic microwave fudge recipe), simply put the fudge ingredients into a large bowl and microwave in 30 second bursts, stirring/beating the mixture well in between each time. It’s done when it’s thick and smooth
Chocolate: I use dark chocolate in the fudge for this recipe to give a deeper flavour. You can use milk chocolate if you prefer or half and half works really well too. As always, I’m using my favourite Callebaut chocolate for this recipe. This chocolate is just amazing, it melts so well and really makes a difference to any recipe
How to know it’s done: Depending on your particular slow cooker, this may take a little more or less time. As soon as it is thick and silky smooth looking, it’s ready
Make sure you line the tin: I like this one, available on Amazon: Bacofoil Baking Parchment)
Optional vanilla: You can add a little vanilla extract for added flavour if you like (this one is THE best!)
Cutting into portions: If the slab is too hard to cut straight out of the fridge, allow it to come to room temperature for 30 minutes. Be careful when cutting as it may be very hard!
Gifting: I pack the pieces, fresh from the fridge, into little bags like these cellophane bags (from Amazon). It adds a little something special and makes them feel like a real gift
