10 Easy Chicken Marinades

Ingredients

For the BBQ Chicken Marinade (enough for 2 Chicken Breasts):

  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • 2 tbsp Soft brown sugar
  • 2 tsp Paprika
  • 2 tbsp Oil Sunflower or vegetable
  • 2 tbsp Wine vinegar Red wine is best, but white is fine

For the Honey and Mustard Marinade (enough for 2 Chicken Breasts):

  • 2 tbsp Runny honey
  • 1 tsp Dijon (french) mustard
  • 1 tbsp Wholegrain mustard
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil

For the Italian Marinade (enough for 2 Chicken Breasts):

  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp Oregano, dried Or Italian mixed herbs
  • 2 tbsp Tomato puree
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil

For the Tandoori Marinade (enough for 2 Chicken Breasts):

  • 2 tbsp Natural yoghurt
  • 1 tbsp Tandoori spice mix (see recipe notes)
  • 1 tbsp Oil Sunflower or vegetable
  • Juice of HALF a lemon

For the Balsamic Marinade (enough for 2 Chicken Breasts):

  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • 2 tbsp Balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1 tsp Italian, dried mixed herbs Or oregano

For the Pesto Marinade (enough for 2 Chicken Breasts):

  • 4 tbsp Pesto
  • 1 tsp Olive oil

For the Sticky Soy Marinade (enough for 2 Chicken Breasts):

  • 2 tbsp Soy sauce Dark is best, light is fine
  • 1 tbsp Runny honey
  • 1 tsp Ginger puree Fresh or from a jar

For the Jerk Marinade (enough for 2 Chicken Breasts):

  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • 2 tsp Allspice powder
  • 1 tsp Dried chilli flakes
  • 1 tbsp Soft brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp Oil Sunflower or vegetable

For the Piri Piri Marinade (enough for 2 Chicken Breasts):

  • 1 tsp Dried chilli flakes
  • 2 tbsp Smoked sweet paprika
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • 2 tbsp Oil Sunflower or vegetable
  • Juice of HALF a lemon

For the Lemon and Herb Marinade (enough for 2 Chicken Breasts):

  • 1 Lemon Zest and juice
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1 tsp Mixed herbs

Instructions

  • Simply mix your ingredients together well, add chicken breasts and marinade for an hour before cooking.
